<p>Wearing black formally suggests elegance, strength, authority, power and control. For business meetings or any formal presentation, black and dark colors such as navy blue and dark grey are safe colors to get you attention and respect. </p>
<p>To look slimmer, dark clothes are very effective but it also helps to dress in only one color to avoid bisecting your figure and drawing attention to any of the problem areas of your body. </p>
<p>Beware of cultural differences in color perception. In western cultures yellows, oranges, blues, and greens are associated with having a good time. Red is seen as a very positive and vibrant color by the Chinese, but is seen as too aggressive and confrontational by westerners, perhaps because it is often used in warnings, for example a final demand for a bill.  </p>
