Extra Work is Extra Promotion!

One does not get a promotion magically. If you are aiming for a higher position, you should work hard for it and show that you are interested. Just like the day of your interview, always come earlier than your expected time and dress like a professional. If your office is not really that formal, then wear something nicer. Be active and volunteer to work late or ask for additional duties, if you still can. Once you have shown that you are reliable and more than happy to serve the company, then there is a higher chance that they would recognize what you have given and add you to the “to-be-promoted” list. Remember, giving things a little extra goes a long way.
